Each month we will bring you info on events for kids in the Siouxland Area. If you know of one we have missed, please leave us a comment or send us an email. We will update our lists throughout the month as we hear of new events, so check back often for the latest scoop on fun things to do in Sioux City and in our surrounding communities!     • 2-5pm: Author visit and book signing by local author Dee Ashley at the North Sioux City Library, including a 4pm reading of her debut book, The True Story of Eddie the Duck

    • 9am-noon: Home Depot Kids Building Event: Helicopters, registration online encouraged
    • 10-11am: Reading Buddy program at North Sioux City Library: K-3rd grade students are encouraged to come practice reading with a buddy from Dakota Valley HS, call the library at (605)422-2366 to reserve a spot
    • 11am: First Family Saturday Storytime at the Aalfs (downtown) branch of the Sioux City Public Library
    • 11am: How the Grinch Stole Christmas storytime at Barnes & Noble
    • 1-2:30pm: Family Movie: Coco at the South Sioux City Library

    • 5-8pm: Sioux City Public Museum open late for Downtown for the Holidays
    • 6:15: Holiday Lighted Parade on 4th Street
    • 6:30pm: Festival of Trees opening night in Ho-Chunk Center with festive handbell music, live dance performances, and more

    • 11am: Library storytime at the Perry Creek Branch of the Sioux City Public Library
    • 11:30am-noon: Beginner Lego Club for 3-5 year olds at the North Sioux City Library. Registration required to ensure adequate bricks are available for use by for all attendees

    • 10:30am-noon: Saturday Art Lesson: Fiber Art at the Sioux City Art Center
    • 7:30pm: Mamma Mia! at LAMB Regional Theatre, $25 for adults, $13 for students, $19 for seniors
