Siouxland Families Explore Scarecrow Farm

When I told my kids we were going to the pumpkin  patch, they weren't very excited. They pictured a muddy field with some pumpkins in it, and that's it. They were amazed when we got to Scarecrow Farm, which is so much like a fall harvest themed amusement park, it's easy to forget it is also a working farm! There are plenty of pumpkins, dirt and rustic charm, but there are also tons of fun things for families to see, do, and eat plus lots of cool benches, cut-outs, and sculptures to take selfies with. We got to visit Scarecrow Farm for free to write about it, and we were blown away. It totally surpassed my expectations! Here's what you need to know if you're considering a trip to Scarecrow Farm too: Location: 1592 Charles Avenue, Lawton, Iowa Distance from downtown Sioux City : 8.7 miles/ 15 minutes (4 miles East of Menards) Directions from downtown Sioux City : Take US-20 East to Lawton, then turn left on Charles Ave. Scarecrow Farms will be on the right.
