Sioux City fall festival 2017

On Saturday October 14th, 2017 the city of Sioux City will be celebrating Fall Festival with fun events for all ages at a variety of locations. My family and I have been in past years to several of the Sioux City Fall Festival events and they were all so fun! Here are some of the fun things happening that day:

Downtown and Riverfront

  • Food Truck Bonus Event
    • 11am-1:30pm on 7th between Pearl and Douglas
  • Hard Rock Casino Bacon Fest
    • 11am-6pm, $5 for ages 5+, benefiting Siouxland Habitat for Humanity
    • Live music
    • Raffles
    • Tons of delicious bacon!
  • Launchpad Children's Museum
    • Half Priced admission
  • Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center
    • The Legend of Sleepy Hollow storytime and Monster Mystery Box activity, 1pm (free)
    • Frankenstein Takes the Cake storytime and Monster Mystery Box activity, 2pm (free)
  • Sioux City Art Center:
    • Mask Making Workshop from 10:30am-noon (free)

  • Sioux City Farmer's Market
    • Free pony rides
    • Costume contest for kids 12 & under at 10am with cash prizes (1st place=$25, 2nd place=$15, and 3rd place=$10)
    • Costume contest for pets at 10:30am
    • Trick-or-treating for kids at the stalls
    • Pumpkin painting booth
    • Live pumpkin sculpting
    • Live music
    • Vendor specials
  • Sioux City Public Library
    • Fill their decorative tree with leaves recommending your favorite fall reads
    • Bookmark craft
  • Sioux City Public Museum:
    • Downtown walking tour 10am

Northside and beyond

    • Football game vs Morningside at Memorial Field, 1pm
  • Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center
    • Free fall craft

    • Friends Fall Festival 2-8pm

    • Harvest games and prizes
    • Free pumpkins while supplies last
    • Trunk or Treat with Sioux City Fire Rescue, Police Department, and Public Works Department vehicles
    • Crafts

  • MidAmerican Air Museum
    • Half Priced admission
  • Scarecrow Farm in Lawton
    • Open 10am-7pm
